The Full Story
Michael Turner is a Newark born filmmaker. During his Junior year in high school Michael started exercising his desires to be a filmmaker, when he had the opportunity to take a Film analysis class for the first time with award circuits (Clayton Davis). Michael grew up inspired by Films such as "Waking Life", " Man With A Movie Camera, Sixth Part Of The World", and Phillip K. Dick readings such a "Flow My Tears A Policeman Said". At 23 Michael attended Montclair State University in Montclair NJ where he pursued a career in film directing while discovering a talent for sound in the process. Michael wanted to train the public on the styles of his favorite films in order to make them more mainstream. Part of this was the desire to create more art as a IMAX film director, in hopes of adding some of what he felt was much needed showmanship. Michael sought to create narrative experiences as he called it. His idea was to combine the experimental nature of films like "Waking life" and "Samsara"with the scale of premium budget Hollywood films.
